After recording sessions earlier this year at our own Werf studio and at the Kytopia studios in Utrecht,
Nits just finished a 7 day of recording in the Castello de Burio near Asti, Italy. Results are promising, to put it mildly. Work on the new album will be continued at the Werf in October.

Ik vergeet nog te zeggen dat ik afgelopen maandag om 7 uur al naar Sander de Heer heb gemaild of hij In the Dutch Mountains wilde draaien.
Nu aftellen tot 17 december Assen, en dan de Top 2000! Wat een mooi einde van het jaar……

Zoals ieder jaar staan de NITS in mijn lijstje en dat de nederlandse radio niet verder komt dan "In the dutch mountains" en "Nescio" is voor mij een bron van ergernis. NITS is meer dan deze standaardnummers.

Aangezien NITS al jaaaaren geboycot worden op de radio en àls ze een keer gedraaid worden hoor je 'In the Dutch Mountains' heb ik er geen zin meer in.
Het mooiste nummer vind ik 'Nick in the house of John'. En ja, dit heeft geen zin..

Op zondag 26 september zijn de Nits te horen bij het programma ‘Adres Onbekend’ van de KRO op Radio 2. Het programma begint om 12.00 uur en ze spelen vier nummers van het album Strawberry Wood live. Ook zijn ze op maandag 4 oktober te horen tussen 14.00 en 17.00 uur op Radio Rijnmond.

Gratis toegang tot de Nationale Nederpop Nacht!
De Nationale Nederpop Nacht, een jong avondvullend Nederpop evenement, vindt plaats op vrijdag 17 september 2010 in de Effenaar in Eindhoven. Tijdens dit Nederlandse muziekevenement treden artiesten en bands uit verschillende regionen van het Nederlandse popspectrum op.
De volgende bands en artiesten zullen vrijdag het podium betreden: Nits, Supersister, Moke, Normaal, Bettie Serveert, Rob de Nijs, Van Dik Hout, Time Bandits, Lucky Fonz lll, Typhoon, Ray & Anita, Twarres, DeWolff en Miss Montreal. Ook legendarische bands uit de Nederpop historie zullen speciale aandacht krijgen.
“Het is een avond om onze liefde voor de Nederpop met elkaar te kunnen delen. Het wordt wederom een feest voor zowel artiesten als alle aanwezigen”, zegt medeorganisator Jan Douwe Kroeske.
