DONAUINSELFEST Jee hoe krijgen jullie dat nou weer voor elkaar! Gewoon onze Hollandse Nits op het hoofdpodium van de Wiener bühne op het Donauinselfest!! Weet je dat daar gerust 100.000 (of meer) mensen staan zo 's avonds??? Al eens geweest daar? Nou dat is pas een festival, ben er helaas niet bij dit jaar, maar jullie staan gewoon tussen Tozzi, Peter Cornelius en Europe geweldig! Veel plezier daar!   Groeten Nita    BELLEGEM Ik ben één van de drie vrouwen die na het optreden van The Nits in Bellegem België met die oude foto kwam zwaaien van The Nits met mijn twee vriendinnen Barbara en Sofie en ik. Wil je aub aan Rob, Henk en Robert-Jan zeggen dat we het heel erg fijn vonden vanavond! En graag aan Rob de naam The Irrepressibles doorgeven. En nu luisteren we in de wagen al twee dagen naar “panorama Man” van de Nits. J'ai tout de suite été conquis par la simplicité de leurs chansons mais au final tellement précises et travaillées. Du coup j'ai assisté à leur concert hier soir à Clermont-Ferrand pour le festival Europavox. Je n'ai rien à dire de mieux que j'ai été époustouflé de voir à quel point ce groupe avait la pêche!! Je les trouve encore mieux maintenant qu'à leur début : la voix a pris de la profondeur c'était absolument magique!!! The second I thought had nothing to do with you(Nits) but... Somewhere sometime someone sang (and he's still singing) ...I met a woman in the valley of stone She was painting roses on the walls of her home ... I'm sure it wasn't a valley of stone (or maybe it was??? can't remember), but she (or me...) even painted roses on the walls (not only on books and paper and wherever she found some cm of place and time)... (ca 1m/1,20)...  Both doesn't exist anymore since the End of 1989. Everybody's returned well back home? Das macht unendlich viel Spass und ich würde am liebsten gleich am nächsten Tag das Konzert nochmal hören. My name is Mike Clasen and I own and operate a music shop in Dundas, Ontario, Canada which I have run for almost 30 years. I first got turned on to your music when you had a distribution deal through Sony in North America and I first heard In The Dutch Mountains through a sales rep at Sony who gave me a tape. I eventually saw you around the late eighties in a small bar in Toronto, Canada and we met at that time. I believe there were only 3 of you and one of your wives or girlfriends who was taking pictures. Do you remember that? I still remember how great(!) a show it was and I've been a fan ever since. It's been hard to obtain your releases in the last 10 years or so but one of our suppliers in Montreal Canada just set up with a distributor in Holland and finally, I can get some of your CD's in again to sell. I already have the Soap Bubble Box back in stock and have been playing it for weeks. I'm hoping on getting all your releases back in! Anyway, from myself personally, many many thanks for your great music over the years, it's been very special and I hope you continue on making music and stay in good health for many years to come. I heard a song in the radio and bought your last record q1: what i dont understant is why we hear it only now on the radio when you recorded it in 2007!?!?!? i hear it loud and 'en boucle' (continuously) and i like it more & more: it's always like that with good records, no ? q2: is Henk Hofstede french ? bcs he says "verdun" like a french and quatorze (not quatorzé) nearly like a french by the way, have u seen where Louis XIV was born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (nearby where i leave), west of paris? it's in the 'pavillon Henri IV' which replaces the 'Chateau Neuf' which was a wonderful castle (with lot of wonders) built by Henri IV (gran father of louis XIV) bcs he didnt like the big castle which is not comfortable and difficult to warm the 'chateau Neuf' has been destroyed by the times and the wars, BUT, there is ONE room still alive and by CHANCE, it is the room where Louis WIV was born !!! it is "classé", so no one touched at it, so there are some cracks, some plasters are missing ... but there R beautiful paints, lovery flooring, ceiling, ........ so beautiful place, pianos, landscape, big room to invite people for lunch or for muzik ? that i don't know ... i have to ask them it would be worth while q3: do u come soon to paris or do i have to go to Amsterdam to hear u? nota: the flowers R everywhere, in Bagatelle (west of paris) - very beautiful ancient roses - and u have tulips (no?) kind regards Frederique Girard PS: R U on Facebook?
