NITS are currently recording their 23rd album . As usual, recordings take place in their own Werf studio in Amsterdam. At this moment Nits are: Henk Hofstede, Robert Jan Stips, Rob Kloet and soundengineer Paul Telman. Release of the untill now untitled album will be 'later this year', possibly November.

Recording started in April. Six days of improvisation sessions resulted in 6 cds with a total of 138 pieces of music. After listening, 76 tracks were found to be of interest.

31 of these tracks (on the scheme marked with an X) were abandoned for the moment. the other 45 ( marked with a figure) were given a second and sometimes a third treat. Some of the songs get their first working title. Song lyrics are fully improvised.
